Syracuse Defeats Villanova: The Videology
The Syracuse Orange defeated the Villanova Wildcats 79-66. These are the videos to prove it.
The game was in serious jeopardy until Fabricio de Melo's 360 dunk as time expired. Then and only then was the 13 point lead statistically-safe.
Dion Waiters hurt his ankle just before the half but that couldn't stop him from celebrating Scoop's buzzer-beater:
Who has the best Mookie Jones-aided intro? Gotta go with Fabricio and his "double tap dance-off."
Syracuse Orange players take the court. Each one brings something different to the fist-bump table:
Dion Waiters tells Citrus TV's Ryan Koletty how it felt to play back in his hometown of Philadelphia, the status of his injured ankle, and how many retweets to expect following the Orange's 79-66 win over the Wildcats.
Jim Boeheim talks about the Orange's win over the Wildcats.
Syracuse Post-Standard reporter Mike Waters recaps the Orange's win over Villanova.

Neon.....Dion......
Just wanted to say the Cuse Nation is strong in Northern California….I finally have a nickname for Dion. This kid seems to step it up in big games and last night’s game was no exception. If this isn’t the best nickname for him nothing is. I finally realize that he likes big games and pressure, so there is no better name than Neon….Dion….I shouldn’t have to explain he is a marquee player, a PT player all the cliches…not sure if I spelled that correctly. Need to have the students with signs for Prov game..Don’t get me wrong the Cuse is playing like a team which is why they are winning….But Neon….Dion I thought was appropriate for this kid. Let’s get this thing going…Go Cuse!!
Where in Nor Cal?
I know someone on here is in SF Bay Area, I’m holding down the Sacto fort right now.
Without Gerry McNamara we wouldn't have won 10 f-- games, not 10

Here In Novato
Go Cuse….The Cuse Nation is strong in the Bay Area…..
love him or hate him
there is only 1 “Neon Dion”.
Melo
360 dunk at the end did help push the over. The over was 145 right before tip.
that Melo/Mookie intro was hilarious.
Fab Intro
I noticed the intros when I was at the Seton Hall game and I like that they all have a variety, especially Fab’s. People want to knock Triche for his lack of emotion but I kind of like having one of them more be the “stone cold, I am out for business” look about them. I LOVE the team chemistry and it’s why Jay Bilas has noted recently about how well this team is not playing selfish but proving that we don’t need a “go to” guy but instead have 10 people playing at one.
I also loved how during Nova game, people were tweeting about Dion coming out to the court on a bad ankle. Scoop just banked a heck of a half court shot at the buzzer so short of a broken leg (and I mean the leg laying there right beside him), what did you expect? He was hobling/limping to get there but thankful to see he was playing on it in the second half.

Mookie's attitude is BIG for this team.
There was the Mookster, pumping up his mates in the intro & seemingly in full acceptance of his diminished role. I guess he got tired of pouting & complaining (see; Twitter/Facebook) & once he decided to stay, figured he’d be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Its so much easier being a cancer, after-all.
He doesn’t get much PT at all these days- but I’m much more impressed by Mookie now than I was before.
He means alot to this team’s chemistry- and instead of fans looking to put him down, his attitude adjustment should be commended.
Way to go, Mook!
