It’s similar to when a player goes down as the opposing team has the ball on a fastbreak. You don’t stop play for the injured player. After the officials reviewed the incident, they determined Fab Melo had committed a flagrant personal foul. The other alternative is a flagrant technical foul, which results in ejection, two foul shots and the ball.
