Today marked the day in the NFL that teams had to trim down their Pre-Season roster to the regular season 53-man rosters.  I've decided to take a look all of our former beloved that were in training camps for various NFL teams. And I might as well list them all here for you as well.

Will Allen - CB - Miami Dolphins - Had his "contract terminated" today.

Ryan Bartholomew - C - Baltimore Ravens- Waived 8/27/2011

Curtis Brinkley - RB - San Diego Chargers -  Waived today.

Delone Carter - RB - Indianapolis Colts - 2nd(or 3rd) String Running Back.

Ryan Durand - G - Tennessee Titans - Waived today.

Tony Fiammetta - FB - Carolina Panthers - Waived today.

Dwight Freeney - DE - Indianapolis Colts - 1st String Right Defensive End.

Steve Gregory - S - San Diego Chargers - Special Teams/Back-up Strong Safety.

Doug Hogue - LB - Detroit Lions - Special Teams/3rd String Outside Linebacker.

Mike Holmes - CB - Chicago Bears - Waived 8/27/2011 (Injury)

Tanard Jackson - S - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Suspended Indefinitely by the NFL(substance abuse).  Eligible to be re-instated 9/22/2011.

Arthur Jones - DE - Baltimore Ravens - 2nd String Defensive End.

Andrew Lewis - DT -Jacksonville Jaguars - Waived yesterday.

Olindo Mare - K - Carolina Panthers - 1st String Kicker.

Jameel McClain - LB - Baltimore Ravens - 1st String Strong Inside Linebacker.

Donovan McNabb - QB - Minnesota Vikings - 1st String Quarterback

Da'Mon Merkerson - CB - Arizona Cardinals - Waived 7/30/2011(3 days after they signed him).

Quinn Ojinnaka - T - St. Louis Rams - Waived today.

Derrell Smith - LB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Waived Today.

Anthony Smith - S - Tennessee Titans - 2nd String Free Safety.

Taj Smith -WR- Indianapolis Colts - Waived today.

Adam Terry  - T -  Tennessee Titans - Placed on IR

Mike Williams - WR - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 1st String Wide Receiver

I think that is everybody. Overall, it was not a good day for former Syracuse players.  Anthony Smith seems to have been the only surprise keeper.  While Allen, Taj Smith, Durand, Fiammetta, Ojinnaka were all relatively surprising cuts.  The Mike Holmes thing is just unfortunate, the coaches seemed to like him, the fans seemed to like him, then he was cut early with an injury(supposed non-football) that i can't find details for anywhere.
