Syracuse vs. USC: Chandler Jones Will Miss Another Game
Chandler Jones' "lower body injury" wreaked havoc on the Syracuse Orange defense against Rhode Island. SU was forced to shift a lot of people into new positions and new responsibilities and it showed. Torrey Ball, Brandon Sharpe, Mikhail Marinovich, Deon Goggins and Micah Robinson did their best to hold down the fort in Chan's absence.
They'll have to do it again this week when the Orange travel to play USC. Doug Marrone announced on the Big East Coaches Teleconference that Jones will miss another game.
Chandler Jones will not be available for Syracuse this week as they travel to USC. Marrone said no Big East team has won at USC in 1957 when Pittsburgh did it. Said he loves the leadership from Marinovich and that he will likely be the game captain Saturday. Said the defensive line played adequately without Chandler Jones but will need to continue to get better to have a chance against USC this weekend.
Marrone said he was "hopeful" that Jones would be back for the Toledo game. Safety Olando Fisher will also miss another game.
Dave Rahme also notes that freshman safety Durell Eskridge missed another game and is likely to redshirt at this point after getting tangled in NCAA red tape.

Not to spread rumors
But from what I’ve heard from students who are athletes is that he partially tore something in his knee, I forget specifically which ligament is was, and they say he’s done for the year. But that’s just a rumor so I don’t want to put too much stock in it.

I hate injuries and rumors
so naturally I find this sickening. But it makes sense.

I don't recall where
But I heard/read that it was his LCL
We will not rest until we see these capitalist octopuses annihilated.

hope its not true
Bummer! but, while he is teh awesomez, we will need to step up and learn to live without him
This completely sucks
I understood keeping him out of RI for precautionary reasons. But they missed him badly, for his obvious pass rush, as well as someone with the quicks to maybe catch that beastly QB when he ran. Matt Kalil is going to eat whoever is across from him alive in this game. The chance of a national- attention -getting upset just dramatically decreased.

Fingers crossed
For the big guy to get better. Was really looking forward to seeing him whip up on some fools this year. Here’s to hoping that HCDM was just keeping him out of three useless games. Chan isn’t going to change the outcome of either last week or next by himself.
