The only college football poll worth paying attention to, the BlogPoll, is back for another season of useless predictions and biased voting.
The Alabama Crimson Tide, not Oklahoma, is the No. 1 here. Why? Who the hell knows. Preseason polls are dumb. The Sooners, Oregon Ducks, Boise St. Broncos and Florida State Seminoles round out the Top 5.
Future Big East team, the TCU Horned Frogs, clock in at No. 15. Current Big East team West Virginia is the lone conference Top 25er at No. 21.
There's two Syracuse opponents in the Top 25, WVU and the USC Trojans (No. 25).
Here's my ballot. I pretty much just looked at the AP/Coaches Polls and went from there. I have no idea. I am, however, one of four voters to put USF in my poll. Pitt and Cincy also picked up a couple votes outside the Top 25.
Games begin this week and, only then, will any of this stuff make sense. Barely.
