And this time it's not Karen Cypher that he's screwing. Nope. The Ricker has set his sight on the sum total of Big East basketball history this time. Pitino's brilliant plan would split the Big East into two divisions for basketball purposes, the end result of which isn't pretty.
In what he acknowledged was a 'radical' proposal, he would divided the conference into two divisions and have each team play two games against each team in its division. Under Pitino's plan, though, teams would not play against schools in the other division until the Big East Tournament.
then there's this bit of "brilliance"
Here are his divisions:
West: Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Connecticut, TCU, Rutgers, South Florida
East: Georgtown, Villanova, St. John's, Seton Hall, Providence, Notre Dame, Marquette, DePaul
Let that sink into your head a bit. Not playing Georgetown. AT ALL. Nor Villanova, St. John's, Marquette or Notre Dame. AT ALL. Unless it's in the Big East Tournament.
I hope Pitino's been made, otherwise I'm gonna have to borrow my Uncle Sonny's backhoe and take care of this problem.
