Smallwood has some work to do | Varsity845.com
Smallwood, who earned a full athletic scholarship from Syracuse, recently learned that he didn't meet NCAA clearinghouse requirements to enroll at the Big East school. The sticking point, Smallwood said, is his math grade. According to Smallwood, he needs to improve his math score in order to qualify. He is taking math in summer school, which concludes on July 28.

Poliquin: Syracuse basketball legend Roosevelt Bouie has some advice for Rick Jackson | syracuse.com
"There is a tendency with guys here in the States not to shower in the locker room," Bouie said the other day. "They usually wrap a towel around their head, put on their sweats and a hoodie, and go home. I’d tell Rick, ‘When you get to France, don’t do that.’

Sayers: NFL could have helped Mackey - chicagotribune.com
"You know, John Mackey died at 60-something (69)," said Sayers. "(The NFL) could have helped him more, I felt. But they didn’t, and the players (NFLPA) could have helped more, and it didn’t happen."

Robinson’s overall record isn’t as bad as others on this list, but he gets low marks for destroying what was a solid Syracuse program. The Orangemen (as they used to be called) only had one losing season from 1987-2004. Robinson had four losing season in four years, with a high-water mark of 4–8 in 2006.

So take a look at the shot and imagine you are down there on the floor in New Orleans and you catch that ball. You are a huge Syracuse fan and you now have the ball in your hands that potentially guaranteed our place in history as national champions. Do you tell them to contact your lawyers because this ball is a part of history and it is in your possession now? Or do you give it back and simply ask to shake Hak’s hand for the awesome block?

Appreciate The Link Love

I am not a smart man but i know two things in this life, Tully’s Tenders are a gift from God (or whomever you believe in) and that I am having more fun with this new blog idea than I ever did before. Check out Syracuse State Of Mind….now showing on an internet near you.

And thank you to everyone from Sean who not only helped out a lot with his class but has promoted it a few times with links on here, and including everyone who has clicked a link to the blog. I may live in North Carolina these days but I am always in a Syracuse State Of Mind…cheap pop indeed.

Cheap pop indeed

All you needed to finish it off was something derogatory about G’town.

I Would

But I do my best to leave that for HoyaSuxa. Not trying to steal someone else’s gig just as I expect not to sign in one day and see someone else using my Tully’s gimmick.

That image of Davis

should be what the statue of him on campus looks like. Not the slap in the mouth they have now.

And on showering with the team

I never understood that. I know we Americans are so insecure about our bodies, but its a hygiene thing. Why if the gym has free hot water would you not shower there? It always grosses me out when someone gets in their car after the gym because their car ends up smelling like a gym bag. Then they get home, check their email, make some food and maybe shower later. Their bodies dry off and all the crap from the air or gym equipment that settled on them while they were sweaty ends up in their pours. Then they wonder why their backs break out or they get fungal infections.

Plus if I have somewhere to go after the gym, I can go straight there rather than having to run home – thus saving gas and helping the environment. So its green to shower at the gym

I Will Shower At The Gym No Issues

But as sad as this may sound, I think some of it also goes to some schools who do not enforce students showering after PE classes/events so some are not used to it. Yeah, I have been in the car that smells like sweaty feet and no thanks, i will walk 30 miles.

That top 100 list

Clearly has no idea what’s going on if they think Scoop is a 6th year junior.

Other people look, Andy Rautins can SEE.

And if they think

Dion Waiters is better than Scoop Jardine right now.
