The Fabomite Maneuver

It seems that one Fabricio P. de Melo has been a naughty boy, according to this Syracuse Post Standard article.

The girlfriend of Syracuse University basketball player Fab Melo told police that the two have had a “volatile relationship” and Melo has been physically violent with her four or five times since they began dating in October, according to a Syracuse police incident report

Said volatility involves the fact that Fab is overly jealous and posessive of his girl and doesn't like her talking to ANYONE else that's not another girl.  The previously mentioned criminal mischief is as follows:

Melo approached the driver’s side, reached in the window and snapped off the turn signal control arm, which also controlled the car’s wipers and high beams.

She noticed Melo was bleeding from the hand.

“Here, you want my blood,” she quoted Melo as saying as he smeared blood on her shirt.

She drove off at that point.

While she was talking with the police, she asked what was going to happen. Police informed her that New York state and Syracuse police policy is a mandatory arrest regarding domestic violence. Police secured her bloody shirt as evidence.

On the whole, I'd say things aren't looking good for Fab's future as an Orange hoopster, and if he has any hope of sticking around at all better he had expect to be partaking of some anger management classes among other things.
