Is this the same cover that New England gets
a.k.a. did he beat out a BC player for this cover? If so, that actually is a pretty big deal, since BC has been pretty relevant on a national level these last few years (or maybe it’s just my Boston bias, even tho I hate BC)

No, I think you're right
I’ve heard a bit more of a buzz about them, rivalries being renewed and such.

When was the last time SU football
got on the cover of anything? Outside of Syracuse, and during the GRob era for being so bad.
SU 97

Guess that Pinstripe Bowl performance turned some people into believers, eh? Great stuff!

I am sure all of you know this, Syracuse is always on the cover of these Athlon / Sporting News magazines in New York area. It’s the same magazine all across the nation, but they sucker the local fan base into buying it (which I did for father’s day) by displaying the local team on its cover.
They have Syracuse finishing 6th in the Big East with RGL Charley Loeb donning GQ clothes on the inside cover.
"44 is embarrassing you!"
I know that is true but...
I live about 30 minutes outside of Boston and that was our cover up here too. It was not BC or ay other schools.

So will I jinx it if I mention
that suddenly it seems like there are – gasp – expectations for this team?

I’m glad they’ve decided to start putting Men as the focal point of these covers, as opposed to Golden Eagles, or Huskies
