Indianapolis Colts Pick Delone Carter In NFL Draft's 4th Round

PrintDelone Carter became the first Syracuse Orange to hear his named called during the 2011 NFL Draft when the Indianapolis Colts selected him with the 22nd pick of the 4th round.
The Twitter reaction was instantaneous.

Fantasy Guru - That Delone Carter pick by the Colts could be the end of Joe Addai's tenure. Carter and Don Brown could work in tandem.
Carter was selected before UConn's Jordan Todman, which is always nice. Congrats to Delone, who entered the season with a whole ton of issues but proved himself on and off the field.

Update: Carter spoke to Nolan and told him, "it’s an honor to go there...There’s a lot of Syracuse alums there … Dwight Freeney … I just feel honored and blessed.” He also mentions that he was surprised by the pick since the Colts didn't really talk to him much.

I click his twitter and see some kind of movie poster looking background. Then I realize that he isn’t in a movie, and that he’s really just a nobody.
There was mention of Delone's thighs on the colts thread.
i chuckled. oh and someone mentioned he had character problems….really?
Yeah I was going to respond to the character comment.
But I have to wait 24 hrs.

It was weird because I was standing there watching and thinking no SU players have been drafted and Indy comes up and I thought to myself I bet they draft Carter here ( plus Indy loves the SU guys). I’m so happy for him he worked hard to get where he is at today and he has been through so much. Congrats Delone!!!! GO SU
