Carmelo Anthony To Debut New Syracuse-Colored Sneakers Friday
The best part about Carmelo Anthony playing for the New York Knicks? You know that every single shoe that's released in his line will sports Syracuse colors.
Behold, the Jordan Melo M7 Advance in orange, blue and white!
There's also a blue and black version and an all-black version but I think we can all agree which one is the best one.
Built for optimal performance on the court, and with an all-new lightweight design, enhanced lockdown support and superior comfort, the JORDAN MELO M7 ADVANCE not only represents the marriage of performance technology and innovative design materials, but also continues to take its inspiration from Melo’s premium style and dominance.
All three colorways (black/mts-white, white/orange flash-blue ribbon and black/orange flash-blue ribbon-white) will be available at select New York City retailers (House of Hoops & Nike stores), beginning June 1, 2011 with a suggested retail price of $130.
So there you go, sneaker junkies. Feast on that.

And Yes That Is A Grumpy Old Man Statement
So go play in your own yard…damn kids today with their pants around their ankles and no respect for auhtority. When I was your age, my mom went to K-Mart, bought me a pair of generic brand shoe nobody had ever heard of before and told me that if I didn’t like my shoes, I could go to school barefoot (barefoot Syracuse winters are no fun, trust me). I don’t think I have ever paid more than $70 for any kind of shoe and my feet still work just fine…usually, unless alcohol was involved.

I get all my shoes from the Reebok outlet store
Where my selection is primarily limited by “do they have this in a size 14?”
So, uh, yeah, I’m never getting anything over $60, and that’s before the outlet store discounts.
But then I drive a 9 year old Corolla, so clearly I don’t factor “status” into my purchases.
Shut up brain or I'll stab you with a Q-tip
I Have Some Starbury's Still...
I bought a while back and I enjoy them. Best $10 shoes I ever wore (when the future ex was not ashamed to be seen with me).

Ebay my friend
My brother is a size 16 and he finds all his shoes and cleats on ebay for no more that $10-20 for name brand new stuff. The stores on there buy up huge lots of new sneaker and sell off the average sizes (10-14 or whatever) at top dollar prices and then the small one and in your case large ones get sold at discount as its just profit at that point for them anyways.
I don't like the idea of getting sneakers I haven't even tried on
I had to do it once with cleats after getting laughed out of Dick’s by asking for a high-top (I’ve had ankle injuries) non-metal cleats in a size 14. But you’re just guessing that they’ll actually fit & be comfortable (something I definitely can’t assume when it comes to running shoes, for instance).

I used to feel that way but my brother and I have had good luck
you could always go to foot locker or champs or whereever and try on the shoes then go home and try and find them cheap online.
I've never in my life...
…spent $130 on a pair of sneakers. Just not my thing.
But these ARE pretty sweet (and obviously, I’m talking about the orange/blue combo).

I don't care enough about the NBA
To root against him, regardless of what team he’s on.

well said!

As someone who lives in the NY area and is AT BEST a casual Knicks fan...
…I love that he’s on the team.

That is quality, but you know it is even more quality?*
This:

and this too:
I’ve seen the first ones in person and they are something else. My fiance laughed at me when I suggested I needed to have them. Luckily for her they are out of my price range.
