What is your preference for the Big East and Syracuse? Although the preference might be to go back to the days of where Cincy, USF, and Louisville (and Marquette/DePaul) were not members, the writing is on the wall that every athletic program must address football as the king. Any poll vote must recognize the importance of Syracuse football--either as important as basketball or MORE important. It is what it is.
A. Keep everything the same--add in TCU and stop at 17 teams for BBall. No further expansion anywhere.
B. Same as A, but kick out DePaul or some other team like Seton Hall. 16 is ideal.
C. Same as A, but add in Villanova football to get to 17 in bball, 10 in football.
D. Same as A, but add in Central Florida to get to 18 in bball, 10 in football.
E. Same as A, but add in Central Florida, Houston, and Temple or Nova to get to 20 in basketball (19 if Nova), 12 in football.
E. Football schools should leave and take the Big East AQ bid (hopefully it works that way). 9 teams is fine.
G. Football schools should leave and then add Central Florida, Houston, and Temple (or Memphis) to get to 12.
Note: I am not using the the EZCUSE proposal: expand to 24 teams, divide into 12 sub-conferences. Stay under Big East umbrella. Etc. Requires a commitment to a network. Seems unlikely.
