2011 All-American Team: Rick Jackson Honorably-Mentioned
The Associated Press All-America teams were announced today. No Syracuse players showed up on the three teams, which is not a surprise, though Rick Jackson was included in the Honorable Mention.
Jackson was named Big East Defensive Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-Conference after his surprising dominance for the Orange this year.
There were a few Big East names all over the lists, including UConn's Kemba Walker (1st Team), Notre Dame's Ben Hansbrough (2nd Team), Providence's Marshon Brooks (3rd Team), Georgetown's Austin Freeman (Honorable Mention), Pitt's Ashton Gibbs (HM) and Pitt's Brad Wannamaker (HM).
Your 1st Team All-Americans are Jimmer Fredette, Nolan Smith, Walker, Jared Sullinger and JaJuan Johnson. Four of those players are seniors, the most seniors since four made the 2006 team.
Meanwhile, Scoop Jardine has been named one of the biggest chokers in the NCAA Tournament. So the honors just keep on rolling in...

I thought Kemba
was a junior? Fredette, Johnson and Nolan Smith were seniors. Regardless, congrats Ricky!

My thoughts too
If anyone, wouldn’t it be Brad Wanamaker?
It was Brad Wanamaker according to the link
Caspar Ware (from Long Beach State) is listed right after him
Thats what happens when I go on autopilot
