Chipotle: Truly Evil After All
I'm not necessarily trying to get people to sign the petition, but it is an interesting thing to call attention to. Proof that Chipotle truly may be the result of all things evil and it must be destroyed for Cuse to ever hope to win again.

The one thing I dont see mentioned is:
Were the people working illegally in the United States? The article seems to get up in arms about everything except the fact that those employees were possibly here illegally, which is well, illegal. I can get fired for looking at my boss wrong in New York State – just sayin.
That being said, Chipotle is indeed:
a.) evil
b.) overrated
c.) crowded.
You’d think they were putting gold flakes in the g-damn burritos with the way the line is out the door.
Syracuse would not have lost 1 f**king game if Chipotle hadnt opened up, not ONE!
Well, if they were here illegally
Isn’t that even worse? That Chipotle is hiring illegal immigrants instead of giving jobs to good hard working American citizens?? (not trying to start a political debate either, this is a fine line to walk here)
You are not allowed to ask a potential employee if they are a U.S citizen
So you can’t say that they are hiring one group at the expense of another.
Ooo yea that's hot.
No, but you need proof
they can legally work in the country. An I-9 needs to be filled out for every employee that constitutes they are here legally.

Are you sure about that Scoopette?
I think that question has been asked in writing for every job Ive applied to, by way of that I-9. It certainly does not exclude anyone from working as long as you are here in the US legally.
I’m curious what the real story is though. Was Chipotle negligent in their hiring practices? Were people lying on their i-9? All I see is “potential I-9 compliance issues” regarding the case, so I’m curious why they immediately fired so many people, especially since the news story I read stated Chipotle verified two forms of identification, above and beyond the Federal requirement of 2 (if not a US passport).
Very wierd.
Same here
I worked at a staffing company too (in addition to my own experience filling out applications), and prospective employees are ALWAYS asked if it’s legal for them to work in this country, and to provide legal documentation proving it. Always.

you're both right
You cannot ask someone if they’re a US citizen. However, you can ask them if they’re authorized to work in the US.
I just wanna tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
The people didn't have any papers
They lied on their application form. I feel bad that they are now jobless, but its a risk you take when you are illegally employed.

Highly suspect group
This is really a political movement. The group is called day laborer of America, which is basically code for illegal immigrant.
Based on the list of acceptable documents, you may not be able to ask if someone is a citizen, but it would be pretty easy to determine it based on the requirements. Being a US citizen is not a requirement to work at a fast food place, but you do have to be here legally. If you cannot fill out a proper I-9, then you can’t get a job legally.
