So I'm at the GT/VCU game tonight decked out in orange SU gear. If I hadn't bought these tickets a year ago, I would have been watching SU on TV. Obviously, being a SU fan, I'm cheering for VCU. And of course, my seats are among a bunch of Hoya fans. I'm cheering for VCU having a great time. Not saying any Hoya slurs or anything about GT. Just a lot of loud cheering for the underdog Rams. Well the Hoya fans, starting late in the first half when it was going south, started on me. Saying all kinds of crap and every word in the book. One asked why I was wearing SU gear and cheering for VCU! I said "uh, cause I graduated from SU and therefore hate GT". I tried to reason and say that if SU was playing VCU and you were here You would cheer for VCU. Anyhow, they continued to be jagoffs all game. By the end, they finally gave up and left. But it was embarrassing how they stopped cheering for GT to comeback and started paying more attention to me. It was a glorious moment to watch the Hoyas get absolutely spanked by VCU. the Rams are my new second favorite team! VCU! VCU!
