A Challenge to Orange Stat-Hounds
With the win at GTown this weekend, SU has split all three home-and-home series this season. Pretty rare, but rarer still must be the fact that the wins were all the away games. Has this ever happened before? I'm curious but I'm ironically both too lazy and gainfully employed to look this up myself. A shiny nickel (minus taxes and transaction fees) to whoever can determine this. UPDATE: Eureka! Through my own diligence (after some nearly-thankless help from krakatoan) I have found a season, but I had to go WAAAY back: 1935-36. On February 8, 1936, the mighty Orange defeated the evil HOODOO of Colgate in Hamilton, 42-37. But, my friends, the HOODOO was strong, and it came back to Syracuse to curse the Orange in a 32-37 loss on March 7. There were no other home-and-homes that season.
