Since it's almost time for the big event at MSG, I was wondering what the rest of you guys think of the current format. I'm not a big fan.
When they announced the move to 16 teams, I thought it was a great idea. The point of the conference tournament is to allow for an unlikely run to the NCAAs and to make money -- letting everyone in helps on both counts. But I can't help thinking this double-bye set up is really silly.

As-is. Everyone gets in, but the top teams get a bye or two. (20 votes)
Semi-old school. 12 teams, top 4 get a bye. You have to earn you way in. (37 votes)
Standard 16-team tournament, even if the opening round needs a second site or a second day for half the games. Unnecessary byes in conference tournaments are for mid-majors afraid their champion won't get in. (35 votes)
