My dear Nova Girl....my sister in Big East basketball, before I refute your contention that Syracuse fans should somehow be embarrassed by winning, I'd just like to point out that we are the Orange. Just like 'Nova hasn't been relevant since 1985, we haven't been the Orangemen since 2004.
I'm sure it's extremely frustrating that even with the two Coreys back in action and Stokes lighting us up from three-point range, 'Nova still didn't win. The scales were certainly tipped in 'Nova's favor being at home in addition to all of the phantom touch and technical fouls on Syracuse. You shouldn't worry that the student section was weak on senior night, the Big East refs were clearly rooting for you guys in their stead.
But you can't hold a whole Syracuse basketball fan base responsible for the behavior of a few sick, perverted individuals (i.e., Cahill, Luckie and Stephens) who were more responsible for the narrow margin of victory than the Wildcats.
For, if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole Big East conference?
And if the whole Big East conference is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of college basketball in general?
I put it to you, 'Nova Girl - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?
Well you can do what you want to us Syracuse fans, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America!
