Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m TwistNHook from the CaliforniaGoldenBlogs, your competition in About.Com’s Best College Football Blog.
I’m happy that we have the opportunity to compete in this prestigious internet award. We haven’t had this opportunity since we got our mascot Oski named Mascot Of The Year at Pedo.com! So, this is exciting for us.
This is particularly exciting for me, because I’ve always really enjoyed everything Syracuse has to offer. I didn’t really know a lot about Syracuse earlier in my life. It was not until Syracuse’s favored son Andy Bernard entered my life that I endeavored to learn more. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have waited until a fictional character from The Office introduced me to Syracuse. Mea culpa!
And what a gorgeous endeavor it was! You don’t have to tell me how gorgeous Syracuse University is. Nestled by the Cayuga Lake, Syracuse has such a gorgeous campus. I was particularly moved by the lovely site of McGraw Tower at sunset. Is there a more beautiful moment in the entire world? Is there? After all, if there is one thing we love about Syracuse’s home, it’s that Ithica is Gorges! Get it! It’s a pun!
Look at how beautiful Syracuse is:
Syracuse is a world class institution that I respect a lot. Syracuse is really pushing the boundaries of a university, even opening up a new facility in Qatar. First, Syracuse. Then, the World Cup. What’s next?
Also, I always do respect the traditions of Syracuse. A school as old as yours is going to have so many amazing traditions. It is so difficult to choose just one, but if I had to, it would definitely be "Dragon Day." The passion and the love for tradition in the eyes of the architecture students as they burn that dragon is truly something to behold.
And, yknow what, Syracuse and Cal have something in common: Legendary scientist Carl Sagan both taught there. Truly unbelievable!
As I did more research on Syracuse, I realized just how amazing it really is. It is an honor to go up against Troy Nunes in About.Com’s Contest here. Let’s all join up and sing the traditional Syracuse fight song "Give My Regards To Davy." Good luck and Go Bears!
In Conclusion, it is all Southern Canada to me.
