Syracuse Daily Links - Triche Embracing New Role

Triche embraces shooting role | The Juice Online
"All of the coaches are telling me to come out early," Triche said to reporters following Monday’s game. "I’m scoring most of my points in the second half. I try to get up six or seven shots to try and get into a rhythm."

Chemistry and the ‘Cuse |
In order to be successful Saturday against Rutgers, later in February against Georgetown, Villanova and DePaul, and against whoever is in store for the postseason, SU must continue to turn the corner and realize that potential. Until then, the questions about this team’s chemistry will persist.

Time Warner Cable, we love your SU Sports Time Capsule presentations. Tonight from January 14th, 1996 the eventual Final Four bound Orangemen hosted the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Otto's Army : Boeheim Makes Strange Season Even Stranger
Bottom line is I just can’t believe Boeheim genuinely feels this way and I sure hope he doesn’t go home at night, prop his feet up and think about all the times he has beaten John Beilein in his career to make himself feel better.

Syracuse's Jim Boeheim: Media has 'thinnest skin of any group in the world' - Campus Rivalry: College Football & Basketball News, Recruiting, Game Picks, and More -
"I asked [the reporter a question]. You guys ask me questions all the time, that's part of my job," Boeheim said. "When you get asked a question back, you react like you do, you don't like it. But you know why? Because the media probably has the thinnest skin of any group in the world. Not in the country, in the world."

Points Taken
"We’re down two with two minutes left and we’re thinking three because we want to get back up," Joseph said. "We can go for a two-point play, and then we get a stop and score again. We have to take it one possession at a time and not rush the offense and don’t think about the score so much."

I remember the 1996 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. We beat them forty-one to nothing. We had a great game against Clemson. Then, also during my senior year.

Syracuse University lacrosse team has few openings, but these newcomers should see time |
Even though the Johns Hopkins transfer arrived in January and was far behind his teammates in terms of learning the offense, it didn’t take him long to make a positive impression. Palasek possesses the dodging and feeding ability to make a significant contribution this season at attack, and if the team needs him to he can also move up top and be an offensive force on the second midfield line.

Syracuse University Athletics - From Where I Sit: The Home Stretch
The exciting thing about tournament time is I believe this team has what it takes to make a run. A Hall of Fame coach. Senior Leadership. And a tough defense, especially against teams that aren’t used to the zone. But the scary thing is, it will all depend on match-ups. Get the wrong first-round opponent and we could be sent home early.
