Syracuse vs. West Virginia: Fancy Perspective

Stay connected for news and updates

When you turn on Syracuse - West Virginia tonight and see Bill Raftery hanging out with the cheerleaders during the game, don't freak out. It's all part of the plan, according to ESPN:

In a ESPN college basketball first, tonight’s West Virginia at No. 20 Syracuse Big Monday game in the Carrier Dome on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET will have its game crew of Jay Bilas, Bill Raftery and Sean McDonough, uniquely positioned around the court. Analysts Jay Bilas and Bill Raftery will sit near opposing baskets for a close-up view of the interior battles of BIG EAST big men as well as to see each point guards’ perspective. Play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough will sit in the customary half-court position. The set-up is the first of a week’s long effort by ESPN to give college hoops fans different looks at the games they love to watch.

Shouldn't this be called The Triangle Offense? Anyone? No?
