Not to get too far ahead

But I just noticed that these are the subregional spots this year: Pittsburgh, Columbus, Louisville, Nashville, Greensboro, Omaha, Albuquerque, and Portland. The first four are relatively close travel points.

The East regional is in Boston. Didn't we go through Boston in 2003? St. Louis, Atlanta, and Phoenix makes the other regionals quite a haul.

Would be pretty cool to get a Pitt-Boston bracket draw. And the final is in New Orleans this year.

If the top 3 teams end up including Kentucky, Ohio State, and North Carolina, that is going to be quite the battle for seeding. Nobody out west looks like a good bet for Phoenix. Somebody from the eastern half is going to head out there. If we squeeze into that 4th #1, it would not be unreasonable for Ohio State to get St. Louis.... NC and Kentucky to battle for Atlanta.... and for us to get Boston.

Obviously, we need about 20 more wins before we can worry about that... but at least there are some good options this year.
