Synopsis: James Boeheim is a college basketball coach determined to restore his honor after being accused of defamation. Engaged by one of Syracuse's wealthiest industrialists, DOCTOR Daryl Gross, to get to the bottom of the long-ago disappearance of his beloved niece, DOCTOR Darwina Gross. Gross believes she was taken by a member of his West Coast family. The basketball coach heads to a remote section of the snowy wasteland of Central New York, unaware of what awaits him.
At the same time, Dion Waiters, a humble but hungry basketball player with the Syracuse Orange, is hired to keep tabs on Boeheim, a job that ultimately leads to him joining Boeheim in his investigation of who kidnapped Darwina. Though Dion shields himself from a world that has repeatedly betrayed him, his stealing skills and single-minded retweeting focus become invaluable. While Boeheim goes face-to-face with the high society Cuseminati, Waiters lurks in the shadows. They begin to trace a chain of non-conference victories from the past into the present, forging a fragile strand of trust even as they are pulled into the most savage currents of Big East play.
