My name is Andrew Pregler and I am a Featured Columnist for Bleacher Report covering Syracuse Football. One one of the staples of Bleacher Report featured columnists is to compile a list of the best players in school history. Because it is Syracuse, the title of the article will be "Syracuse Orange Football: 44 Best Players in School History.
I have only recently been inducted into OrangeNation as before my acceptance into the school my knowledge was limited to Jim Brown. Ernie Davis, Donovan McNabb, Marvin Harrison and Dwight Freeney. Since I have been covering Syracuse, I have worked my butt off for lack of a better term to learn more about Syracuse football especially the history of the program.
But what I do not have is the actual firsthand memories of some of the legends of Syracuse football. Trying to put together a list like this without the input of the fans who actually watched these players and teams would be like Dana O'Niel ragging on Syracuse basketball with limited knowledge of the program...O wait...
Anyways I need help. After the break are the players I have so far for the list and I know it is incomplete. Let me know in the comments who should be included, left off and where they should be ranked!
Ernie Davis, Flloyd Little, Jim Brown, Don McPherson, Larry Csonka, Joe Alexander, Vic Hansen, Tim Green, Jim Ringo, John Mackey, Art Monk, Blaise Winter, Daryl Johnson, Donovan McNabb, Marvin Harrison, Dwight Freeney, Kieth Bullok. Rob Moore, Donovan Darius, Joe Morris, Qadry Ismail, Kevin Johnson, Rob Konrad, Tebucky Jones, Marvin Jones, Nick Provo, Ryan Nassib, Antwon Bailey, Delonte Carter.
I know it's incomplete and I am hoping the NunesMagician community can help out with this. I will credit all suggestions!
