Want to make sure Syracuse Orange defensive back Jeremi Wilkes has an amazing game? Let him play the South Florida Bulls every week.
Last year, the Tampa native grabbed his first career interception against the Bulls in SU's 13-9 win. He also collected three tackles in his best game of the year.
"What I remember about it is getting a pick right in front of my family, right in front of the section where the Syracuse fans were," Wilkes said.
"I wasn't really recruited (by USF), so I just take that as ignition when we do play them," he said. "Hey, you've just got to ... show them what they missed out on."
If Wilkes actually does play big best games of the season against the Bulls, expect a ten-tackle, multiple-interception performance out of the sophomore.
I just hope Jeremi's grandmother is there to see it. Something tells me she's the good luck charm.
