Was Donte Greene the key to a National Championship
According to this article, Donte Greene wishes he'd stayed another year at Syracuse. He also thinks that he would have been the x-factor in leading them to a title. Why am I not surprised by this?

I think Donte has expressed this many times since leaving
just never seen it published in ESPN. If he could’ve distributed it more than he shot sometimes, I would’ve thought with another year under his belt, the sky would’ve been the limit for ol’ Donte.
Since the early 1990's I have not been able to get Mike Hopkins' bloody face out of my brain. I don't remember what game it was but I'll never forget that as my first memory of SU basketball. Mike Hopkins, bloody face, bloody nose, all for the love of Syracuse.
It was really a bad situation
That was the year both Devo and Andy were out, so Donte was the only even halfway decent 3pt shooter on that squad. I still think he took his green light status a little too far, but someone had to stretch the D. You can’t help but to think that another year of college would have made him better. But I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he was the missing link to a national title.

Imagine what Blake Griffin would have done to Donte in the tourney
Not sure he would have been the difference between winning or losing that game and moving on.
