ESPNU announced Tuesday that it will be airing a four-hour midnight madness special on Oct. 14. The program will provide whip-around coverage of the events from 11 of the top programs in the country, as well as in-studio coverage and analysis.
The Syracuse Orange are one of them.
"Passionate, Prepared, Professional" Rich Hollenberg and former Syracuse assistant Tim Welsh will be on-hand in the Dome when anger management trainee Tone Loc, that girl from the Jersey Shore and, hopefully, the Syracuse men's and women's basketball teams kick off the 2011-2012 season.
Festivities kick off at 8 p.m. and you'll be able to watch along on ESPNU and ESPN3.com.
Duke will also be kicking off their Midnight Madness festivities at the same time, so don't be too surprised if the Orange get bumped to the Tres for Coach K's crew. Something tells me we should get used to that.
You know, that's like nine days from now... Crazy.
