Since the early 1990's I have not been able to get Mike Hopkins' bloody face out of my brain. I don't remember what game it was but I'll never forget that as my first memory of SU basketball. Mike Hopkins, bloody face, bloody nose, all for the love of Syracuse.

I think I can answer my own question.... IT IS REAL

…at least if the online episode guide (via Wikipedia) is accurate. That guide mentions the Syracuse gag in the episode description. Then again, Wiki isn’t always the most credible source, so who knows.

It’s worth mentioning that we don’t actually HAVE a medical school, but I suppose it could be the doctor’s undergrad degree. Either way, HILARIOUS!
