DaJuan Coleman Picks Syracuse Over Kentucky, Ohio State

DaJuan Coleman is the hometown boy who made good. The Jamesville-DeWitt recruit will play for the Syracuse Orange over the Kentucky Wildcats and Ohio St. Buckeyes.

Coleman chose the Orange Tuesday at a press conference in his school. With three hats in front of him, he originally looked like he was going to choose the Kentucky hat but juked center for the SU hat instead.

DaJuan Coleman

In case you've been living under a rock, Coleman is 6'10", 280 lbs., No. 14 on the ESPNU 100 list and No. 11 overall by Scout.com. He averaged 24.5 points and 14 rebounds as a junior and was named the Post-Standard's 2011 Player of the Year award.

Coleman will (assumedly) join Fab Melo, Rakeem Christmas and Baye Moussa Keita in an absolutely-loaded frontcourt of big men. By then. the three returnees will have worked out a lot of their kinks and Coleman's size could be the difference-maker.

Coleman joins Jerami Grant in the SU Class of 2012, which is now among the best in the nation. Just like that.

Sorry, Calipari. I'm sure you'll still do fine.
