I couldn't bear to watch'n'blog last night, plus I wanted a clear head to sanely evaluate (as many of you know I'm prone to knee-jerk reactions) what went on last night.
I made the following 4 observations:
1) We were a couple FTs and missed-bunnies away from being as good as the 2nd best team in the country on THEIR homecourt....without our best player.
2) Rick Jackson can tie down the middle against the most physical team in the country and NOT get in foul trouble and STILL get a double-double
3) Our freshman don't make enough youthful mistakes to detract from their overall positives.
4) Scoop is now qualified to be a clutch shooter in the same vein as Andy Routins.
Given these 4 points of observation: I have deduced that we are, in fact, the most talented team in the country.
The question is, can we be the best team in the country?
To paraphrase Shooter McGavin: The bags are packed, the ticket is punched, all you have to do is send 'em home.
Let's do this.
