Cody Jamieson is top pick in National Lacrosse League draft

The Rochester Knighthawks selected Syracuse University and Six Nations forward Cody Jamieson with the first overall pick in Wednesdays National Lacrosse League Entry Draft at Toronto's Westin Harbour Castle.

Jamieson was presented with a No. 22 jersey by Knighthawks owner and general manager Curt Styres and NLL legend and Syracuse women's lacrosse coach Gary Gait. Jamieson is Styres' nephew. Gait wore No. 22 the past two seasons with Rochester and wore the number at Syracuse University. Jamieson wore 22 at SU in 2010.
