EZCUSE FUN FACT

Rolling it out on a Wednesday this time.  Previously, I noted that G-Rob had 10 wins in his 4 seasons, while Coach P and HCDM had 10 wins in the 2 seasons straddling his glorious-less era. 

But here is something even more interesting.

In the 9 FBS wins for G-Rob, the combined records of the programs we beat was 38-70.

In the 9 FBS wins for Coach P and HCDM, the combined records of the programs we beat was 56-50. 

G-Rob had one win against a 7-6 team (Notre Dame) and two wins against 6-6 teams (Wyoming and L-ville). 

Coach P's 2004 team beat teams with records of 2-9. 7-5. 4-7, 8-4, 8-4, and 9-3.

HCDM beat teams with records of 8-5, 3-9, and 9-4. 

Of course, we are going in the other direction with a win against 0-1 Akron, but the edge remains with Coach P/HCDM.

To return to a Coach P level program, all we need to do is get back to winning 90% of our winnable games (teams with 0-4 wins on the season) and 50% of our games against teams with 5-8 wins, and 25% of our games against teams with 9-10 wins.  (We rarely beat teams with 11+ wins under any coach).
