CFB Week One Degenerate Preview!

It is the best week of the year; bankrolls are flush, spirits are high, so many bets to make!

SEASON OVER/UNDER PROPS! (bodog)

Georgia Tech 7.5 wins      OVER (-200, betting 2units)

Connecticut 8 wins           OVER (+115, 1u)   Uconn has best possible conf schedule (home games are WVU, pitt, cincy), and should be favored in 4 of 5 non-conf games.

Michigan 7 wins                UNDER  (-150, 1.5u) No reason needed.

West Virginia 8.5 wins      UNDER (+135, 1u) Good price, reasonably challenging schedule.

Oklahoma   10 wins          OVER  (-190, 1.9u) Lousy price, but they are going to stomp this year. Dont see them losing more than 1 game on their schedule. Road games are at Cincy, A&M, Baylor, Ok St.

Texas A&M 7 wins            OVER (-155, 1.55u) Joke of a non-conf schedule. Could start off 6-1.

Week 1 ATS

Florida -36.5  (1.1u)     Playing Miami of Ohio, who lost 42-17 to Buffalo last game of 2009. Seems like free money assuming Urban Meyer's heart doesn't explode before halftime.

TCU -13.5 (1.1u)  Playing home vs Oregon State. Kind of a homer pick, TCU will want to run to score up if possible.

Boise St -1.5 (1.1u) Screw Va Tech so much.

Syracuse Degenerate Lock of the Week Brought to You by Heid's  (I will bet Syracuse against the spread all year, 7-5 or bust ATS baby!)

Syracuse -7.5 (5.5u). LOL AKRON. Sorry bookies, Lebron isnt their tight end. DC3 gonna put on for his city.

Give Brian Bennett some props on his Thursday predictions

Thursday

Utah 24, Pitt 21: I like the Panthers to have a strong season; I just doubt their ability to win on the road in such a tough spot in the opener, especially with a new quarterback. At least it’s closer than the 2005 Fiesta Bowl. (For a more complete breakdown of this game, make sure to check out my video post later Thursday afternoon).

Rutgers 38, Norfolk State 3: The Scarlet Knights may have some questions on their offensive line and in the receiving corps, but that won’t make any difference against the FCS Spartans. Look for a dominant effort by Rutgers’ defense, which creates at least one score.
