Disney/ABC, ESPN and Time Warner Cable Sign Long-Term, Wide-Ranging Agreement
The only thing that matters is...will TWC be able to show ESPN3's broadcast of Syracuse-Akron on Saturday. According to someone in the know, all TWC subscribers will have ESPN3 access by end of day Friday. So...almost there.

ESPN3 on Time Warner, perfect...
Less than a week after I move away from Time Warner country.
This is just frigging COMCASTIC.
I moved away from Time Warner in may (graduation and stuff) but luckily my cable/internet belongs to UMich and they have come through for me with ESPN3. Which works out well for me anyways since I have no DVR and I doubt I’ll be home in time for the start of the game.
How lucky!
I live near a few college campuses, and I believe it’s still free on any college campus.
Coincidentally, the only time of my life I DID have it was back in my days attending UM myself—we had AT&T cable at our house off North Campus and ESPN3 came standard. Also had NFL Network, Big Ten Network, and HBO… man.

Comcast gets ESPN3...
…in case that was a complaint. If you’re just generally bitching about Comcast, errr XFINITY, errr Comcast, then consider us allies…
PS WTF is up with Pittsburgh’s O-Line and QB? I just turned the game on and watched Lewis get stuffed at the line then their QB spent a few downs just running around in little circles, grounding the ball, getting sacked, etc.

Botched internet installation at the new place last weekend made for a fun Sunday.

It’s a minor miracle that Cablevision even has ESPNU, which took them all the way until March to get, I’m sure because all the complaints they got come lacrosse season
UM alumni
great news about TWC getting ESPN3! btw, how many of you guys went to Michigan? I graduated in 2000… funny to see two other Michigan men on this SU site. I’m a native “Central” New Yorker so that explains my SU fanhood :)
and yes I was rocking my blue #5 jersey my (first) junior year in Ann Arbor when Donovan and the boys destroyed the defending champs… one of my favorite days ever

I'm not an alum
but I attended UM School of Music my freshman and sophomore year before transferring to Syracuse (“back home”) due to family reasons. I loved it out there and I’m hoping to make it to a football game this year to take in the new Big House.
And there has scarcely been a better day to be a Syracuse football fan than that day. Whenever I told someone out there that I was from Syracuse, the first thing they’d do if they were a football fan is mention Donovan McNabb kicking Michigan’s ass and losing a shoe on a long touchdown run.

Does this mean it will be on the cable or internet?
A bit confused because TWC runs both and ESPN3 is a website. I eagerly await more information such as channel number. This is great news
ESPN3 - internet only
You will be able to watch the game online, ESPN3 will not be part of your channel lineup.
Time Warner & ESPN adding new services
From the email they sent:
ESPN3.com – ESPN’s live sports broadband network will be available to all Time Warner Cable subscribers who get ESPN.
A New ESPN Service – customers will be able to view ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU
through broadband and mobile Internet devices.
ESPN Goal Line – a college football super-highlight channel will be available only to Time Warner Cable’s Sports Pass customers starting as early as September 4, 2010.
ESPN Buzzer Beater – a college basketball service similar to ESPN Goal Line, will be available to Time Warner Cable’s Sports Pass customers for college basketball season.
