I was reading that little blurb in orangehoops about the boys and their summer improvements and of course it got me thinking about poor mookie jones and his place in this squad.  Mookie is a specialty player, he has a gift for draining 3s but he lacks in areas of importance like defense and decision making.  I think we've been spoiled in years past with our 3 pt specialists, they have all been slightly more multifaceted than mookie.  Andy held our zone together and could control the game.  Nichols and G-Mac had a little more to their game than just shooting ability.  Lets face it, we have been spoiled with our long range snipers.  I guess my point is does Boeheim run the type of game that allows for a mookie to get in, drain some threes and get out and take the hit defensively for that span of time.  Im just more used to seeing our threes come from the heart of our team within the flow of the game. 

And with Triche becoming a better shooter (he showed flashes last year), krisjo becoming and all around stud, scoop always good for a couple, and this waiters kid who can do more than shoot, is there a place for mookie in this line up. Oh and Jsouth is apparently a baller as well.
