SAN DIEGO – San Diego released four players Tuesday to meet the 75-player maximum required by the NFL.

The Chargers released receiver Gary Banks, linebacker Darry Beckwith,  guard Lee Grimes, and running back Marcus Mason

Brinkley (5-9, 208) is a first-year running back in his second year with the Chargers. He spent the 2009 season on "Reserve-Non-Football Injury."
