Devendorf, Roberts Participate in King of Kings

Last night, Eric Devendorf and Terrence Roberts participated in the King of Kings Summer Basketball League in Utica. They joined Josh Wright's team, PJ's All-Stars (the worst team in the league), to get them their first win against one of the best teams in the league, Prestige Elite.

Devendorf had 28 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals; while Roberts ended with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Wright led the team with 32 points, to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals.

Prestige Elite is made up of a number of Syracuse-area players including Latavia Escho and Dayshawn Wright, formerly a player at Syracuse. Escho finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds; Wright with 7 points and 11 rebounds.

The game started with a lot of sloppy play from PJ's All-Stars, and they had trailed by as much as 20. By the end of the half, they had gotten the lead down to 8, with a halftime score of 42 to 34. In the second half, Josh Wright and Devendorf took over; scoring by getting to the basket, knocking down 3's, and getting to the line. Terrence had also started getting comfortable, as it was where he did most of his damage, highlight by a number of blocks and a great put-back dunk.

Also, on the sidelines were Kris Joseph and Arinze Onuaku.
