This Once Again Proves My Theory: Germans Love Andrew Robinson
I thought it might be a good time to check in with our old friend Andrew Robinson and see how he's holding up in Hanau, Germany.
As you know, Robinson is the new QB for the Hanau Hornets of the German Football League 2. When he arrived, times were tough. The Hornets were 0-7 and has scored a total of 23 points. This included a 62-0 schnitzengrubening by the Wiesbaden Phantoms.
Enter Andrew Robinson and all of a sudden, the Hornets are thinking championship. Okay, maybe not championship, but they're scoring a lot and winning every so often. Das is good, ja?
Since Robinson arrived, the Hornets are 2-3 and averaging 22 points a game. They put up 40 in their first win of the season over Darmstadt. And in glorious fashion, just beat the Rhein-Neckar Bandits 16-13 on a last-second field goal.
All the while, Robinson is putting up the kind of numbers that, for a brief while, we thought we might see out of him at Syracuse. On the season so far he's got 1,093 passing yards, 13 passing TDs, 428 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs. Yes, Andrew Robinson is the Hornet's leading rusher...and he's only played in 5 of their 12 games this year.

He's come a long way
from throwing bounce passes to Brinkley @ Rutgers.
Speaking of Brinkley...
…caught the tail end of the Chargers pre-season game on NFL Network this morning. Brinkley looked really good, and he’s rocking #44 ironically enough.

I wonder
how much these guys get paid?

Probably not enough.
I have to assume it’s like playing professional lacrosse here in that they all have to work some sort of job on the side.
