New Syracuse Football Jersey Sneak Peak

- Dark blue...check.
- Design that harkens back to late 90's but gives it a new spin...check.
- No shoulder stripes...check.
- Massive Nike logo front and center and bigger than the Syracuse logo...check.
I'm assuming the Yankee hat doesn't come attached but then again since we're doing everything we can to align ourselves with NYC, I'm not counting it out.
The weirdest part...check out the winner from our Uniform Design Contest. That's pretty damn close, huh? When does our check from Nike get here? (Well, KyleMcIntoshStiffArm's check I guess...)
I'm enthused, how bout you?

Yeah...
I’m a fan. Looks good. I can definitely see owning one of these, which I suppose is the reaction that Nike is hoping for.

Orange Pants
(Wife chiming in, here.) I don’t think it’s quite Syracusey enough without the pants. Are you going to buy those, too?
Death... Taxes...
I buy a jersey, they change it the following year.
I like the orange outline around the white numbers. I almost expected that to be silver.
Hopefully they stick with these for a few years.
that's the most amazing part of the jersey
NO SILVER!
I like ‘em – although as my mom used to say, "just buying work-out clothes isn’t going to make a difference, you actually have to do the work"

I'd say they got it right...
Very nice look. Can we keep these ones, please?

Nice!
Now, what do the pants look like? There is still room to ruin this…
Good
Now let’s not change them anymore for a while, ok Nike? Assholes.

I like it!
Can I at least get a photo op holding the jersey with DOCTOR Gross?

yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
If Collier actually comes out wearing #55 this year I think it’s official. Cmon Doc, you think we wouldn’t catch on to your plot? YOU CAN’T REPLACE 44 DAMMIT!!!

Good karma
The Yankees hat means we’re destined for the Pinstripe Bowl !!!
Or does this mean Collier is being moved to the DLine?
i approve...
…although i wish they would have “shadowed” the numbers similar to the mid to late 90’s jerseys…well done though. clean and simple. do we know if the helmet still has the “S”?
Shadowing is so "90's"
I believe the helmets are the same as last year.
same!
i loved that shadow, but yeah definitely true that was very ’90’s.
Doc Gross originally said that the pants and helmets would be unchanged in that radio interview. obviously they will be “new” pants and hats but i think they’re still orange pants w/ triple stripe, and orange hat w/ triple stripe and S.
I don't really care for the numbers just below the shoulders
but otherwise I like these. Even if they have a giant swoosh on them.

Love it.
Looks great. Nice twist on an old classic. However that is EXACTLY the jersey that won the contest. We should make a big deal about this and get some credit. Both the designer and Sean for hosting the competition.
Sean youre up there in the Pacific NW… go knock on nike’s door and demand recognition! or at a minimum… free shit.
This is theft of intilectual property! And while we may never win in court… they would settle rather than go through with it
This is good.
A nice, clean, simple jersey with the right colors. I am definitely on board with this. And yes, that is most definitely the winning jersey from our contest. And if we are being honest, this is considered a premier Syracuse sports blog that gets national mention every now and then. Makes you wonder…
well
they are identical except for the numbers on the shoulders. So technically they’re not the same. I would not be surprised one bit if the designers took a gander at this site for input though.

I would like more orange but other than that, I like it. Since I have the same 44 football jersey I have had for many years, I doubt I am who they are trying to attract to purchase it anyway. Maybe one day I will retire my 44 jersey since that seems to be what Syracuse and Nike would love for me to do but I just can’t do it, I love that jersey.
Want.
Very nice clean look they got going for this year. Hopefully they stick with this design for the next 2 or 3 years
These look great.
Glad we’re getting away from the GRE uniforms. We need to put that as far in the past as possible.

what?
how in the world are they identical? they’re similar i guess but if you take more than 2 secs to look at it, they’re far from identical. with that being said, the jury is still out till we see more angles of the jersey, as well as the pants…
Same here
No apologies necessary from my end!

btw
these would be closer to identical using ea’s teambuilder…

Yeah
Please don’t be true.

I'm imagining...
the silver Detroit Lions helmet, but instead of an attacking lion, just have a plump Otto the Orange. Maybe doing a somersault. Now that’s intimidating.
What?
No…right?…cause…no…
