An Early Look At The 2011 NBA Free Agents: What Will Carmelo's 'Decision' Be? - SBNation.com
Carmelo is to 2011 what LeBron was to 2010. Except next summer, there aren't a host of other veritable superstars available as well, like there was this past one. So if Carmelo does turn down Denver's standing extension offer -- potentially leaving tens of millions on the table if he waits for the new CBA -- every team with cap space and/or sign-and-trade assets will likely make a push for the former Syracuse star. The Knicks, of course, figure to be prominently involved.

Anthony Davis Jr., had already determined a top three of Syracuse, Ohio State and Kentucky prior to the start of the July recruiting period – even though Ohio State and Kentucky had yet to see him play. ``Right now I’m set with three schools, but I haven’t ruled out adding another school," the younger Davis said. Davis said he intends to visit all three schools after finishing up in July – and may also take a trip to Chapel Hill.

Wesley Johnson, Syracuse. Had 17 points and nine rebounds in 63-59 loss in Midwest Regional semifinal. Shot 6-of-10 from the field. Not a great game, but the Bulldogs didn't face a forward as talented as Johnson all season. No wonder. Johnson went No. 5 in the NBA draft.

Former Syracuse University basketball player Ryan Blackwell will coach in Japan | syracuse.com
"I got some tapes," Blackwell said. "I’ll be mixing it up. But I’ll use the 2-3, especially against teams that have trouble shooting. I need to give Coach (Jim) Boeheim a call and pick his brain."

He works out at 6 AM every morning then goes to a private school that we put him in. Then after school he works on basketball again. He works with the pros down here like Eric Devendorf who played at Syracuse."

Eric Devendorf caps New Zealand campaign with selection to NBL's All-Star Five | MLive.com
Eric Devendorf was named to the All-Star Five, which honors the top five players of the season in the National Basketball League of New Zealand.

Defensively, Marrone seems to be further along in the process than on offense. The Orange was actually very good defensively last season against the run (13th in the nation) and in pressuring quarterbacks (6th in sacks). When opposing quarterbacks had time to throw, though, it was disastrous (113th in pass efficiency defense). So the secondary is obviously a priority.

Ameen-Moore is a low-built running back, most believing he’ll end up as a fullback in college. At 5′10," and 215 pounds, you can see him as the Tony Fiammetta type if he gains enough lbs.

NCAAB : The Dagger - Yahoo! Sports Blog
Lawyers from both schools will return to court next Monday to determine the monetary damages Marist will receive, but what makes this case nationally relevant is the legal precedent it sets for college athletics. If other schools insert similar clauses into the contracts of their coaches, it may become difficult for current or prospective players to follow a coach who leaves their program for another.

Wow

ESPN worst case scenario for Washington still has them beating us with a backup QB. Are they really that good without Locker?

We need more toilet paper, I'm taking my talents to South Beach.

nope, they are going to struggle with Locker as QB...

It’s probably going to be a win for them, but it’s a classic trap game…

Not to mention our defense is very good against the run, and If we can make Locker have to beat us through the air, we could see a SU upset.

Not really ESPN as a company

just a Pac-10 blogger talking about a Pac-10 team. It would be like claiming that the whole SBNation thinks SU will beat Washington because of posts on this site.

Go Orange(men)!
