Leo's Legacy Lives On

Keep in mind that I'm a lifelong Knicks fan (since the days of Bernard King) and Syracuse Alum (Class of '01) who watches about 95 percent of the football and basketball games.

This past Sunday was the Knicks first Summer League game. I had to spend the day with family and so I DVR'd (tivo'd) the game. I get back to my apartment Sunday evening looking forward to sitting on the couch in front of the bigscreen and enjoying Andy's pro-debut on my team.

I turn on the game and fast forward to the opening tip. Andy is on the floor. The Knicks somehow gather the ball from the tip and the first pass is to Andy. Walt Frazier (Knicks tv announcer) says, as his very first color comment of the game/of the summer:

"Rautins certainly has the pedigree for the game. His father is former NBA Player Leo Rautins":

I almost flipped my coffee table over in disgust.
