The New Meadowlands are cursed.  Behold...

June 16, 2010 - Giants WR Domenik Hixon tears a knee ligament, forcing him to miss the entire upcoming season.

July 12, 2010 - At the first concert in at New Meadowlands, a spry and youthful Jon Bon Jovi tears a calf muscle.

Considering Syracuse is in the midst of making New Meadowlands into Carrier Dome South, I fear for the safety of our athlete's ligaments, tendons and muscles.  Sure, the lacrosse team made it out unscathed but that was in April.  The stadium hadn't awoken yet.  The evil lurking in the murky swamps below had yet to realize its grim potential.  Now that it knows fresh meat is coming, no athlete or 80's singer stand a chance.

The Orange will not step onto that godforsaken field until 2012 when they face off against what's left of the USC Trojans.  Until then let's just hope the stadium fattens itself on the souls of the damned beofre we get there.  And by the damned I of course mean the New York Jets.
