I know we've got plenty of time before Syracuse comes to Washington but, humor me with a quick poll question...

I live in norcal

And sadly I’m more likely to catch a game at the Dome before I can convince my wife that flying up to see a possible ass-kicking of my favorite team is a good idea.

On the other hand, I sense a last minute “work trip” sneaking up…

correct

Moved here 2 years ago after getting out of the Army. My wife was born&raised in Orange County, so I take that to be omen that our relationship is built to last.

If you might know of any contests, etc to score some free tickets to the game, that’ll make my sales pitch go 100 times smoother.

Probably watching at work

I have to work Saturdays this year (boo!) but I work at a place that won’t give a shit if I watch the game streaming on ESPN3 (yay!).

I'll be there

Haven’t bought a ticket yet…hoping to get one in the “visitor” section.

Can’t wait. I haven’t gone out of town on a vacation in two years.

in my defense

i’m flying out to Seattle the weekend before and two cross-country flights two weekends in a row would be a bit much. I was hoping I could double-dip on the weekend, but didn’t work out. I’m going for a wedding of 2 friends from Syracuse, I can’t believe they didn’t think this through and align the schedule!

Well we'll just have to

get together and watch the Akron game then

i'm going to hold you to that

the wedding is sunday and i’m not going to the rehearsal dinner, so i’ll be looking for some saturday night entertainment. have you found a syracuse bar yet?

As much as I'd love to...

…you can’t get much further away from Seattle than I am and still be in the US. Unless Southwest throws me a $39 each way fare and I get really cheap tix… ain’t happenng.

Just took at quick look at Orbitz

From New York City to Seattle you’re looking at fares between $400 and $700 (or thereabouts) for a Friday/Sunday departure. These are nonstops. I didn’t bother looking at flights that weren’t nonstop because, well, fuck that shit.

I’m flying, not riding Greyhound.

I'll Be There

While none of the details have been hammered out yet, I am couch-surfing at a friend’s (he’ll also be going) and will book my airline ticket as part of a work trip. Waiting for game ticket purchase for another couple weeks.

Stay tuned for revelry details

Barring a game in SoCal

… or just possibly in/near or Tampa when I’m conveniently in town (I have family that I actually visit in both places; the St. Pete Beef Bowl is actually pretty convenient for me, as the brother I’ve got there just might be willing to be dragged to a football game and cheer for the Orang).

Jake meet Shamarko!

Flights not yet booked and still looking into tickets (we too want to be in the SU section), but we found someone to watch the kids and we’re heading to Seattle baby. Likely flying up from the Bay Area on that Friday morning. Counting on a TNIAAM function Friday night and extensive tailgating before the game. Will make an effort to due touristy things Friday to keep the wife happy for a while. After that all bets are off.

First Cuse game since the 1997 Fiesta Bowl for me. Been way too long.

TNIAAM headquarters? Sounds frigging fantastic!

#SHAMARKO will make Jake Locker his biotch and if he stays in the pocket too long, he will be Chandler Jones biotch. The only receiver who will go over 100 yards in that game will be the #BOSS Van Chew. I hear SU is dedicating this win in honor of Sean’s recent move to the area and you will receive a receiver’s cleat that #SHAMARKO got when he knocked one of those UW players out. They were going to give you the jock but #SHAMARKO collects them for his wall along with limps as souvenirs.

i plan on being there

i wish i could go as part of a work trip! but i planned ahead and am making my annual trip back home this year coincide with the cuse vs uw game. i’ve already told some friends about the game and they even agreed to sit on the cuse side! one friend is a uw alum but says she’s going to the game sportin orange and will yell GOALLLL every time cuse scores! i told her she’s banned from ever wearing orange around me!

does anyone know when and where tickets will be sold for cuse fans? i’ve checked uw’s site a few times but not in the last week, and they weren’t selling single game tickets yet.

sean, where’s that cuse bar at??
