1. Ok, so there are fewer things in my household more precious than this autographed 2003 Syracuse Basketball Poster. I was able to catch Hakim, Craig Forth, Kueth, Pace, Billy, Gerry and 'Melo after practice at Manley during the sweet 16. Gorman wasn't there for whatever reason, an McNeil snuck off with the walk-ons. Originally, my roommate helped me come up with the idea as a retirment gift for my dad, but I did him one better and got a collectors editon ball autogrpahed by the whole team, coach Hop, Fine, Weaver and personalized by JB himself. Unfortunately my dad lives 3000 miles away from me, so I'm unable to enter it in. (Apologies to Josh Pace for taking out half his face in the photo due to the camera flash).
Kueth was definitely the classiest of the bunch, but Hak was right up there too. Forth sorta glared at everyone there. JB was pretty awesome, he was actually in a good mood and joked that all this stuff better not show up on ebay in the next couple days. Coach Hop was giving Gerry, Josh and Billy a nice "pep talk", he probably has the most impressive repertoire swear words of anyone I know. One word - intense. I thought he was going to throw down on me for asking for the autographs! But he didn't. Anyway, thats the story behind this piece. Moving on...
2. I suppose this should go in the random section. This was my license plate back when I lived on the east coast. Sadly, I had to change the plates when I moved out west, but still keep this on my wall in my office at home. When I was at SU, one constant piss-off was that quite a few of my fellow students would ask what the heck "GOSU44" meant. Seriously, this happened quite often.
3. Last but not least. I think this qualifies for random as well. I'm not sure what the hell the Grinch, Dr. Suess and Syracuse all have in common besides the fact that this t-shirt exists. Then my family decided to get it for me last Christmas. Anyways, I'm always thrilled to get new Syracuse stuff, but I'm simply baffled. I'm sure some other folks have seen this shirt for sale at Mannys or Shirt World or wherever. Now, if they made Syracuse Grinch shirt with a photo of JB during a press conference instead, that might make more sense.
