So this is a poster from the 1995 season, I got signed by the team following their Spring day/ Spring game

It includes McNabb, Konrad, Harrison, and Olindo Mare.  You can tell, I got them signed as the signatures are all fading

My idea for the Big East - ok so we need to strengthen the conference.  I think that flexibility is our strength.  My proposal is that we get two 6 team divisions.  And the winner of each division plays in a championship game.  Sounds simple enough.

Here's how I think we may be able to get strength and Notre Dame.  We invite Boston College.  Granted theres not a lot going for that, except the extreme distances that their student athletes travel to compete.  But, if BC joins, they will become the class of the Big east football conference (right now).  Next, we add Navy, and one other team, (Army, UCF, Maryland, etc).

You put BC, Navy, Pitt, and Notre Dame in a division and Notre Dame plays in a division with 3 of its traditional rivals.  Additionally, each team is encouraged to play teams from the other division, but not required.  Thereby allowing Notre Dame to play USC, michigan, purdue and whoever else every year.

Add to this a Big East Network (for football and basketball games) and allow Notre Dame a television deal similar to that that Texas was offered in their conference, I think it becomes pretty compelling.  (more money, conference stability, and the ability to play with 3 rivals and the schedule flexibility to play whoever else they want.

I think adding BC, Notre Dame and Navy to the conference with Pitt, West Virginia and Syracuse on their way up and we'd have a conference that I think could compete with anyone.

Just throwing it out there
