Via Kern: Above is a pic of Flynn's headband from the 6OT game at MSG two years ago. I was the Sitrus director (BS '09, G '11) for that tournament, and this (with the help of one Mr. Vito) pretty much fell right into my lap when Jonny flung it off at the start of the 5th OT. There is the back cover of the local daily which I had framed, as well as my ticket from the game to validate said item's authenticity. I won't forget that night--the band was just as tired as the team was (we even had an article written about us in 'The Daily News' the next day). For me, this is just a sweet reminder of the small part of histor those present were lucky enough to bear witness to (and yes, for the record, on the record, our band was still playing up until the last minute--which can't be said for other musical groups in attendance that night...).

One of the key contests in Syracuse's march to the national championship in 1959 was a titanic clash with unbeaten Penn State on Nov. 7, 1959 in University Park, PA.
