I made some mistakes. I’ve got to learn from my mistakes and make up for it...I’ve just tried to let all of them know that I can do this. This is what I do. I love football. If I don’t go in the first round, I’m going to be the steal of the draft. I tell people that: it don’t matter where I go, I’ll be the steal of the draft. I’m going to be a good character guy and love my teammates."
Mike Williams, making his case as to why he should be drafted in the first round. Sounds a heckuva lot like the things he said before last season, when he...you know...quit on the team halfway through. H/T: Alex

it's true
clearly this guy has issues that go well beyond football. he can say all he wants, but he’s got some stuff he needs to deal with if he’s going to remain that “good character guy who loves his teammates.”
"Wes Johnson's your daddy and daddy's hungry, bitches!"
The teammates have been very quiet.
But weren’t there rumors that Marrone had put Williams’ reinstatement up for a vote and the players voted against it? If so, that doesn’t sound like a good teammate, regardless of how much he loves them.
actually, they voted for him to be reinstated.
It created somewhat of a rift in the locker room but not anything too major
Wait, I thought that was well known.
The problem was that after he was voted back on the team, Mike didn’t answer his phone or return calls to Marrone when Marrone was calling to let him know. That, of course, was the last straw. I could have sworn that’s what happened.
He's probably going to join a longish list of players named Mike Williams
who didnt do all that well in the big league.
IT’S NOT FALLING OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND FOR CHARACTER PROBLEMS IT’S BECOMING THE STEAL OF THE DRAFT REMEMBER THAT
