I haven't been around to post much lately. That's because on 3/31 I had surgery to remove cancer from my left kidney. The da Vinci robotic surgery was 100% successful in removing the cancer even though the surgeon just left Duke medical to come to Syracuse and performed the surgery while wearing a Blue Devils surgical cap.
Since it was the week before the National Championship game, I might have even said 'go duke' to him as they wheeled me out of pre-op to the surgical room. I figured that since this man held my life in his hands I wasn't going to upset him with a 'duke sucks'. I blame this on the drugs.
Now, I know we men usually ignore most minor aches and pains but PLEASE, if you have any doubts about something, go see you doctor! The only reason mine was found was because I had a little pain. Hardly enough to notice but it just didn't seem right so I had it checked out. Again, if something doesn't seem right to you, get it checked out!
If my story can help just one person, then it was worth it.
I'm fine now. I was back to work 2 1/2 weeks after surgery. The only bad part is no golf until July and no hockey until fall. A small price to pay.
Thank you for your time. Now let's go back to hating on Jack the dog.
