Common raps about Syracuse.
Here is a little background info on his appearance. And the highlight of this video: Common asked a member of the audience to choose any word for him to freestyle about. He began a freestyle rap stemming from the word "heaven," and it somehow evolved to include Otto, Jim Boeheim, Wes Johnson, Acropolis, Marshall Street, and ‘Melo.

That is an
incredibly talented man right there.
Wow. Only one complaint:
Acropolis. I mean, I guess he didn’t say Varsity, so there’s that.
He came with the Roots my sophomore (maybe even freshman) year. Awesome, awesome, awesome show by both the Roots and him.
It really isn't very good.
But then again, none of the Marshall St pizza places are that good. My favorite there was Auggie’s actually. Cheap and decent. But really, after knowing that Dorian’s exists, what’s the point of eating pizza on Marshall St before 1 in the morning?
Why was it so shortlived?
It was still there when I graduated and it was never empty and downright packed late at night Thurs-Sat.
I remember seeing Common back when I was a HS senior
Up at South Campus for the Block Party. He was there with Mos Def and The Lox (ha!). Back when it was held outside, it was pretty awesome. I didn’t know who Common was then, but I sure liked him after that show. He also came on stage in a Quinton Spotwood jersey, remember him???
