#1 Seed

Hello there. Let's take a quick trip, shall we? It's a trip back to April of 2009. Do you remember where you were when you found out that not only was Jonny Flynn leaving, but DevO and Paul were heading for greener pastures.
(Do you see what I did there? "greener" pastures...as in greenbacks? Cash? Money? I tried...) Anyway...were you like me? I bet you were. You were nervous as all hell about the 2009-10 season. No experienced PG, the top rebounder and the emotional (albeit a ticking time bomb) leader were all gone. I thought to myself, "Sonuva....."

But then this season began. And our beloved Orangemen played with poise and unselfishness not seen for years. They have been the true definition of a "team" all season. 7 different players have led the team in scoring. Wes Johnson is a 1st team All-American while averaging under 16pts a game. And Syracuse reached the #1 ranking for the first time in 20 years. Frankly, it's been a ride I won't soon forget. That Villanova game was incredible

So, we can waste time griping that we're the third #1 seed...or that Gonzaga is terribly underseeded....or we can bitch about our big guy going down for the first weekend.

We can talk about the team's versatility, their veteran leadership, and the fact that Syracuse is the #1 fucking seed. We don't have to worry about anyone else. Those other teams in our bracket need to worry about the 'Cuse

I am one of those people that agree that this is the baddest em feffin teams Cuse has possibly seen.(03) was magical. People worrying about seeds and other teams please be quiet and channel your energy somewhere else. As I reflect before the game I cant help but think about Jimmy B. All the shit he has taken. He knows what he is doing and he will have this team ready for a great run. This is the begining(on a national stage), of the new Syracuse Orangemen, we will be a team every year that teams will not want play. Our defense has reinvented college ball. We as fans have seen this zone all our lives. We can be the new blueprint on recruiting and molding teams. I bleed orange and want nothing more than a proper bully beat down of vermont. SHUT IT DOWN!!!!

I don't know what it is, but I'm incredibly nervous about this tournament

I think, maybe its because I expect them to win the championship. Even in 03 when i knew our team could beat anyone in the country, I didn’t think we would win it. Now, that we have been to the mountain top before, I think we can do it again, and since our team is legit, and could beat anyone in the country, I expect that we’ll do it again. Is that wrong of me?
